About

Hey - thanks for stopping by.  What's this blog about?  The obvious answer might be Second Life cyberpunk and notable (albeit small) steps we are taking to its (both good but mostly bad).  Additionally, about references - there are a plethora of opinions about what is and isn't Cyberpunk (and if said items "fit" into the genre).  I figured that one of the better ways to address that is to establish some kind of metric with criteria for a Cyberpunk work, then apply that metric to existing Cyberpunk works.  I'll put the metric/criteria on the Cyberpunk metric page for reference, along with a bibliography of Cyberpunk works.

About me - I've been a long time Cyberpunk enthusiast, but taken a long time to get here.  As a blogger for a fairly successful (now defunct) fictional blog for seven years, I have some basic reporting and blogging skills.  However, I'm old enough that I can honestly say I seen Blade Runner on the big screen when it first came out (though it was the "Film Noir" narrated version by Harrison Ford, it was still great for the time), read the original Cyberpunk 2020 when it first came out, and read a lot of "ground breaking" Cyberpunk literature (please see the bibliography... which is in progress).   Though this blog isn't my entire focus (I've also decided to sit down and learn how to improve my Second Life photography skills as well), I'm hoping those who stop by find this spot useful, either for Cyberpunk inspiration or just reference.  Do enjoy, read as needed, and remember at the end of the day, these are my opinions - you're welcome to disagree (and justify your own opinions in a civil manner).  Aside from that, keep it real with the genre - catch ya later...
