CYBER Fair - September 6-26, 2023!

 

 When I started to do some background work on the blog (e.g., deleting dead links, reformatting parts, etc.), I discovered the CYBER Fair is scheduled to take place next month, right after Labor day in the US.  Starting on Wednesday, September 6th, and running through Thursday, September 26th, the CYBER Fair is an amazing event filled with the cutting edge cyberpunk necessities for your role-play, photography, or just to add to your inventory.  Needless to say, I'll be visiting it once it opens for my own avatar upgrades, but until then, you can go to the CYBER-Fair main page.  See you there!

Finally returned to revive the Uplink... it's been a while.  Bunch of RL stuff took me offline, but time to return, find out what is going on, do a lot of cleaning on the blog, and upgrade my mediocre av!  Using the generic "Jaxon" av for now, but at least have a cigarette to enjoy while I get back into writing.  Thanks for visiting, hope you stop by again, and Batou out!

"A Chance to Begin Again"... in Second Life!

Welp, restarting the blog, but with a different emphasis.  Previously, the blog was going to focus on the Cyberpunk genre in general, and on the Cyberpunk 2077 game in specific.  However, aside from the initial buzz in '18 about it, its a wait until something more develops.  Frankly, I'm too impatient to wait, so... I decided to take the blog to Second Life (SL).  I was previously on SL for a good while, but was burnt out after almost six years of playing it.  However, I'm diving back into it, albeit with a limited focus, that being Cyberpunk sims and the genre in SL.

There's a lot to digest with the genre, but as far as SL Cyberpunk is concerned, there is a lot, but not a lot that's used.  What I mean is there are beautiful Cyberpunk sims (world simulations - basically a place to visit), but they are often devoid of visitors.  However... that's great for SL photography, it has that going for it.  Nonetheless, I'll be tweaking the blog to better represent SL Cyberpunk moving forward, as well as other Cyberpunk related topics, so please do visit again - thanks!
